A journey into the world of Italian cinema and in the beauties of art, architecture and nature of Italy accompanied by the music of Nino Rota, great composer of scores, including those of the films:

The road (La Strada), Nights of Cabiria (Le notti di Cabiria), La dolce vita, Otto e mezzo (8½), Juliet of the Spirits (Giulietta degli spiriti), Amarcord by Fellini, White nights (Le notti bianche), Rocco and his brothers (Rocco e i suoi fratelli), The Leopard by Visconti (Il Gattopardo), The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola (Il Padrino), and many other famous films.

The Master won many important reward, like Golden Globe in 1973 for best original score (The Godfather), an Oscar for best score (Casanova by Federico Fellini) and a “David of Donatello” for best musician.

The Master Stefano Mazzoleni, creator of the project “La Musica di Nino Rota”(“The music of Nino Rota”), briefly focuses on comparing the impressions gathered with the heads of major theaters and institutions : “During my travels, the last in order of time in Argentina, where I directed a program dedicated to the music of this great composer, I have had the opportunity of finding the enormous involvement and enthusiasm that this music raises to the public. Involvement confirmed during the meetings with the artistic directors of the orchestras , to whom I presented the multimedia project that with Tony Paticchio we newly structured. A journey through the best famous soundtracks composed by the Master Rota, accompanied by images that describes Italy through its beauty architecture, its territory and the cinema. The fascination that Italy and its art raises in the world is extraordinary. It doesn't attend anything else other than to be represented with the music and the images”.

The show shall consist in an important musical part that is made up by a symphony orchestra composed at least by 55 musicians that plays Nino Rota’s music and it expects the appearance of a lady singer and a couple of dancers.A film will be projected on stage that tells about Italian thousand beauties through an imaginary journey in places where Italian cinema Masters films took place.Wondering in a dream made of audible and visual suggestions, through the actors’ faces of the great Italian movies, palaces and places of the Leopard, the Fellini’s circus, The sweet life, the land of the Godfather.But also food, wine, the desire to create the beauty that Italians have as genetic inheritance as born and raised among important masterpieces in the world. It must be a beautiful dream that describes, with the great soundtrack of Nino Rota, the wonderful feeling you get to admire the beauty, to be surrounded by masterpieces of which Italy is the most important treasure chest in the world.The show is developed as a series of musical pictures and the various columns of Rota soundtracks are performed by the orchestra; they happen one after the other and are synchronized with the images created for this project that contain both movie images, close-ups of the leading actors, but also the sketches that filmmakers used to create the film, images from the processing times during filming scenes of the locations where they were filmed, Italy images of the places with the buildings, streets, squares, people living, nature. All this in a succession of colors, emotions experienced as a memory, like a dream so not as a documentary but as a poetic homage to the arts and Italian beauties.
